THE HILL | Alabama A&M women's tennis bounced back in impressive fashion Friday afternoon, defeating Tuskegee 5-2 at home.
After dropping the doubles point, the Bulldogs responded with a dominant effort in singles play to secure the victory and improve to 9-10 overall.Â
Tuskegee claimed the early 1-0 advantage by sweeping all three doubles matches, putting Alabama A&M in an early hole.Â
The Bulldogs answered emphatically in singles, winning four of the first five completed matches to take control of the contest.Â
Alabama A&M quickly shifted momentum in singles, highlighted by a two-set victory from Sofia Sotelo Raya at No. 3. The Bulldogs continued to apply pressure across the lineup, picking up additional points at No. 4 and No. 5, along with another key win to clinch the match.Â
Despite the early deficit, the Bulldogs' depth and resilience in singles proved to be the difference, as Alabama A&M secured five total points to clinch the 5-2 win.
