CHICAGO, Ill. | Alabama A&M volleyball battled throughout Thursday's nonconference matchup but fell to Bradley in three sets (25-22, 25-20, 25-22) at Joseph J. Gentile Arena.
Rayishon Jackman led the Bulldogs (5-3) with a match-high 13 kills while hitting .273. She also recorded seven digs, one service ace and one block assist.
Amya Jennings added seven kills on a team-best .353 hitting percentage, along with three block assists. Gerren Tomlin finished with seven kills, six digs and two of Alabama A&M's three service aces.
The opening set featured five ties and two lead changes as the Bulldogs remained within striking distance. Alabama A&M produced 15 kills and hit .250, but Bradley pulled away late to secure the 25-22 victory.
Alabama A&M responded with its strongest offensive performance of the match in the third set, hitting .263 with 14 kills. The teams battled through nine ties and three lead changes before Bradley closed the frame on top, 25-22, to complete the sweep.
Carys Sanabria and Cherrish Robinson contributed five kills apiece for the Bulldogs, while Scholar Bates added four. Briana Smith paced the offense with 19 assists and six digs, while Kaydee Smith recorded 13 assists and four digs.

The Bulldogs will continue on into the tournament and play against Southeast Missouri State on tomorrow at 4 p.m.Â
