Alabama A&M Announces 2026-27 Men's Basketball Non-Conference Schedule

THE HILL | The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team will face a challenging 2026-27 non-conference slate featuring matchups against programs from the ACC, SEC and Big East, along with seven regular-season home contests at the AAMU Event Center.

The Bulldogs' non-conference schedule includes road tests at DePaul, Mississippi State, Georgia and N.C. State, along with in-state matchups against Samford and North Alabama. Alabama A&M will also host the Bulldogs Bash in November.

"We put this schedule together to challenge our guys and prepare us for what we will see once we get into conference play," Alabama A&M head coach Donte' Jackson said. "We have some tremendous opportunities against high-level programs on the road, but we are also excited about the number of games we have in Huntsville. Playing teams from different leagues and different styles will test us, help us grow and show us where we are as a basketball team. Our goal is to be battle-tested and playing our best basketball when SWAC play begins."

Alabama A&M begins preparations for the season on Oct. 13, traveling to Birmingham to face Samford in an exhibition game as part of Ballin in Boutwell at Boutwell Arena. The Bulldogs will then travel to Detroit on Oct. 23 for the HBCU Showcase exhibition.

The regular season tips off Nov. 2 when Alabama A&M welcomes Oakwood to the AAMU Event Center for a 7 p.m. contest. The Bulldogs remain at home on Nov. 6 to face Mississippi University for Women at 7 p.m. before making their first regular-season road trip to Chicago to take on DePaul on Nov. 9.

Alabama A&M returns to Huntsville for the Bulldogs Bash, beginning Nov. 13 against West Florida at 7 p.m. West Florida and Cleveland State meet Nov. 14 before the Bulldogs close the event against Cleveland State at 4 p.m. on Nov. 15.

The homestand continues Nov. 21 when Lipscomb visits Huntsville. Alabama A&M then makes the short trip to Florence to battle North Alabama on Nov. 24.

December provides the Bulldogs with a demanding stretch away from home. Alabama A&M visits Chattanooga on Dec. 1 before heading to Starkville to face Mississippi State on Dec. 7. The Bulldogs continue their road swing Dec. 13 in Athens against Georgia.

Alabama A&M returns home Dec. 15 to host LeMoyne-Owen before getting back on the road for games at Tennessee State on Dec. 19 and N.C. State on Dec. 22. The Bulldogs wrap up their non-conference schedule Dec. 30 when William Carey visits the AAMU Event Center.

The 2026-27 non-conference slate gives Alabama A&M a mix of high-level road competition and opportunities in front of the Bulldog faithful in Huntsville before Southwestern Athletic Conference play begins.
