The win was the fifth straight for the Bulldogs and moved them to 5-2 on the season heading into a key conference matchup next weekend at Jackson State. Trailing 8-5 in the series finale, the Bulldogs opened their half of the eighth with eight straight reaching base, including doubles by Kency Duarte, Alton Ellison, and Marcus Spencer. Ellison fihished the day 3-3 and is now batting .619 on the season with six doubles.
The rally gave Juan Flores the win on the mound after working three innings of relief for starter Chris Jennings and reliever Fabian Harper.
