Photo Gallery / Chris Hernandez pitched a one-hit gem in game two of a four-game weekend series against Mississippi Valley State earning a 2-1 victory when Fabian Harper singled home the game-winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Delta Devils took three out of four in the series winning games one (16-4), three (10-3), and four (2-0). The Bulldogs remain in strong contention for their first SWAC Tournament berth heading into a weekend series at Alcorn State.
Game 1 - MVSU 16, AAMU 4 /

Mississippi Valley rushed to an 8-0 lead and at one point led 14-1. Robert Scott drove in two runs for the Bulldogs. Marcus Spencer homered for A&M. Bernard McKinney took the loss on the mound.
Game 2 - AAMU 2, MVSU 1 /

Hernandez gave up one run in the first without giving up a hit. A&M responded in the first on an RBI double by LaDale Hayes. Hayes also helped the defensive effort with a remarkable catch in center field in the seventh to set up Harper's game-winner.
Game 3 - MVSU 10, AAMU 3 /

Much like game one, MVSU stormed to a big lead and held on for the victory. Chris Jennings lasted just 1.1 innings for the Bulldogs. Kency Duarte had two hits and an RBI.
Game 4 - MVSU 2, AAMU 0 /
Box Score
A.J. Campbell was outstanding on the mound, but the Bulldog bats could not push across a run in the final game of the series. J.T. Thomas and Marcus Spencer each had two hits, but A&M didn't get a runner past second base.
