Dogs Elminated by Jackson State at SWAC

JSU rallies for 17-7 win to end A&M's season

Box Score / Alabama A&M stormed to a 6-1 lead, but could not hold on as Jackson State eliminated the Bulldogs on Thursday at the SWAC Baseball Tournament, 17-7.  The Bulldogs came out of the gate swinging scoring five runs on three hits in the first inning and then adding a single run in the second.  A&M held on to the lead until Jackson State rallied for seven runs in the fifth and never looked back. The loss ends Alabama A&M's season at 14-31 after the Bulldogs qualified for the SWAC Tournament for the first time since 2000.

Starter A.J. Campbell went 4.0 innings, but was unable to record an out after facing three batters in the fifth. The last batter he faced was Jamaal Thelwell, who tied the game with a two-run homer. Chris Hernandez replaced Campbell and suffered the loss for A&M.
