Prairie View, TX - Box Score / The Alabama A&M women's basketball team saw its five game win streak come to an end with a 78-50 loss to Prairie View on Sat. Feb. 27. The Bulldogs were led by Katrich Williams' 16 points and three rebounds. Gabrielle Williams pulled down a team-high nine off the glass. With the loss, A&M drops to 10-5 in the SWAC. The Bulldogs will play Texas Southern on Mon. March 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

A&M struggled to get things going on the offensive end as the Panthers led 40-19 at the half. For the game, the Bulldogs were held to just 18-for-54 from the field (33.3 percent), while Prairie View was 26-for-62 from the floor (41.9 percent). The Bulldogs dominated the boards 45-36, however.

For PVAM, Dominique Smith led all scorers with a game-high 34 points, four rebounds, and four steals. Whitney Ligons tallies 12 points and nine rebounds in 30 minutes of action. Shondria Combs had 11.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Mon. March 1 at Texas Southern. The game is slated for 5:30 p.m.
