The Bulldogs were outscored 37-11 in the second half as the Alabama A&M women's basketball team dropped its second straight SWAC contest at Texas Southern, 71-45, on Mon. March 1. A&M shot just 26.6 percent (17-for-64) from the field and went 9-of-17 (52.9 percent) from the line. The losses drop the team to 10-6 in the SWAC. The Bulldogs are back in action on Thurs. March 4 when they host Jackson State for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
Both teams were knotted at 34-34 after the first 20 minutes of play. The Bulldogs came out cold in the second half as they went just 5-of-29 from the field. "We just kept getting ourselves in trouble, trying to score one-on-one," said head coach Altherias Warmley. "There was no movement in the offense." 
For the game, Katrich Williams was held to eight points on 3-of-12 shooting. Nadra Robertson also tallied eight points and six boards. Whiquitta Tobar chipped in with seven points and pulled down a team-high eight off the glass.
A&M is back in action at home on Thurs. March 4 when they face Jackson State beginning at 5:30 p.m.
