Alabama A&M swept a pair of games Saturday at Bulldog Field to complete a three-game series sweep of Selma University. The Bulldogs won 9-7 and 15-5 on Saturday after defeating SU 12-2 on Friday. Alabama A&M is now 10-1 on the season and will travel to Birmingham on Tuesday to face UAB for a 3:00 p.m. start. It will be the first game away from Bulldog Field on the young season for A&M.
Game 1 - AAMU 9, Selma 7
After spotting Selma a 5-1 lead, Alabama A&M rallied for a 9-7 win with a four-run fifth inning that gave the Bulldogs the lead for good. Noel Santos was 3-3 at the plate, and Charles McKay, LaDale Hayes, and Deon Hall all drove in two runs for A&M. Sanchez Tucker earned the victory in relief of Juan Flores.
Game 2 - AAMU 15, Selma 5
LaDale Hays drove in five runs, including a three-run homerun and an RBI double. Deon Hall also homered for the Bulldogs. A.J. Campbell improved to 3-0 on the season working 4.0 innings as a starter and giving up just one earned run. Noel Santos again went 3-3 at the plate.
