NORMAL - The Alabama A&M Bulldogs basketball teams will recognize Senior night, on Saturday, February 28, as they face Texas Southern University in double-header action.
The Lady Bulldogs will enter the contest with an overall 12-12 record, and an 8-6 conference mark. The Altherias Warmley led squad is currently in fourth place in the SWAC standings. Tip-off for the women’s contest is set for 4 p.m.
The Maroon & White currently hold a 12-11 overall mark, and a 9-5 SWAC record. The Bulldogs are currently holding the fourth position in the Southwestern Athletic Conference men’s standings.
Saturday's contest will serve as senior day for A&M’s four women’s players, while 24th year head coach Vann Pettaway will say good-bye to six seniors.
The SWAC SAAC will be conducting a conference-wide community service event for the spring 2011 semester during the conference basketball season. The coin drive is a competition between SWAC schools and a joint effort to donate funds to a national charity. Please assist our SAAC by supporting this service project.
AAMU Baseball Home Opener Weekend
The Alabama A&M baseball team will host Florida A&M University to a three-game series beginning at noon and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26. The Rattlers will serve as the first home opponent for first year head coach Ed McCann and the 2011 edition of Maroon & White baseball.
The Bulldogs will close out their first home weekend on Sunday, Feb 27 at 12 p.m. in single game action. The Bulldogs (0-5) are currently winless on the year after contest versus Bethune Cookman and Samford University.
