NORMAL – The Alabama A&M baseball team will welcome Tennessee Tech University to “The Hill” for a mid-week contest on Wednesday, April 6.
The game will mark just the third time that the two opponents have met, with Tech coming away with the win in both of the previous meetings.
A&M has a 4-22 record overall this season, sitting at 2-10 in the SWAC. The Bulldogs were victorious in game one of this past weekend's series, edging Alabama State 7-6 in the first of two games played on Saturday. However, ASU rallied to blank A&M 11-0 in the second game of the double-header event and took the series, 2-1, on Sunday with a 15-5 victory.
Kency Duarte leads the Bulldogs at the plate with a .358 average, having clocked a team-high 29 hits in 81 at-bats for six RBI’s on the year.
The Golden Eagles are led by Evan Frazier who is hitting .371 on the year.
The game is set for a 3:30 p.m. first pitch. Admission is free and open to the public.
