NORMAL – The Alabama A&M baseball team will welcome the University of New Orleans Privateers to a non-conference three-game series this weekend while the Bulldog tennis teams will welcome the University of West Alabama to a 9 a.m. match on Saturday in their final home event of the season. All events will be played on “The Hill”

On, April 9, A&M (4-22) and the Privateers will play a double-header beginning at noon. Then on Sunday, April 10, UNO and the Maroon & White will complete the series with a nine-inning single game with a 1 p.m. first pitch.

AAMU (4-23) has dropped three games in a row, including a 12-0 loss to Tennessee Tech earlier this week. The Bulldogs are off to a 2-10 start in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play and 3-9 at home.

Kency Duarte is hitting a team-best .345 for a Bulldog team that is hitting .237 as a collective unit. The Bulldogs' lone home run against 29 opposing squads has come off the bat of Norbert Riggins, who leads the team with 10 RBIs.

UNO (2-27) anticipates starting left-handed pitcher Robert Ormsbee (0-5, 10.57 ERA) in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader with Zach Kelt (1-5, 9.93 ERA) to follow in the second game.

Scott Stonestreet
(1-1, 6.45 ERA) will take the ball in Sunday's season finale and will look to duplicate his efforts last week against San Diego.

The Lady Bulldogs tennis squad defeated the Alabama State in their most recent outing. The men’s team unfortunately fell to the Hornets on the same day. All matches will be played at the Maroon & White tennis courts on next to Elmore Gymnasium.
