Bulldog Track & Field completes TSU Invitational

NORMAL – The Alabama A&M indoor track and field teams completed the final regular season meet in the Tennessee State University Invitational this past weekend.

The women’s standout Shaqunia Phalo placed first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:16.84. The junior also finished fourth in the one mile run.

The Lady Bulldogs finished fourth in the 4x400 meter relay with the team consisting of Marquia Humphrey, Raven Dove, Diamond Tedford, and D’Arnca Bloodworth.

Marion Epperson placed fifth in the shot put with a distance of 11.27 meters.

On the men’s side Sean Delisser placed first in the 200 meter dash and second in the 55 meter dash with a time of 6.47.

The 800 meter run saw A&M’s Reginal Sanders finish fifth while Donte' McDaniel placed second in the 55 meter hurdles.

The team of Sanders, Delisser, Marion Malone and McDaniel finished second in the 4x400 meter relay.

The meet ended the regular season for Alabama A&M. Next up will be the SWAC indoor championships in Birmingham, Ala. March 1-2.
