In the second half, the Tigers and Lady Bulldogs traded baskets in the first six minutes with Memphis taking control and extending their lead 51-27.

The Tigers stretched the lead to as many as 26 before AAMU began a 9-2 run over the next three minutes to make it 55-36 midway through the half.

After the Maroon and White cut the Memphis lead to 17, the Tigers responded with a three to take a 60-40 edge with eight and a half to play.

Head Coach Altherias Warmley stated, “We got off to a slow start, right before game time we found out Shundray Davis was not available to play due to a foot injury.”

Jasmine Sanders would cut the Tigers deficit back down to 19 with four minutes to play. Krishundra Harvey of Memphis dropped off five-straight points to make it 76-52 with three minutes remaining.

"We didn’t score well early, we didn’t play defensively the way we needed to,” said Warmley.
