Davies announces two women’s soccer signees

NORMAL - Alabama A&M head women's soccer coach Frank Davis has announced the signing of two student-athletes to national letters-of-intent to join the Lady Bulldog program this fall.

Marissa Oehler is a goalkeeper from Deltona, Flordia. She earned four varsity letters in soccer at Deltona High School. Her freshman year, Oehler was named starting goalie then was called up to be the only freshman on the varsity squad. Her sophomore year saw the freshman sensation ranked second in the district with a .44 average for goalies. In 2011 she was named the team captain.

Oehler participated with the Omega Soccer Club where she was the starting goalkeeper, when the team played in the Humanitarian Games.


The Lady Bulldogs second signee of 2012 is Miss Maria Farella. Farella played defender at Baker High school in Cape Coral , Florida.

Last season the A&M women's soccer team finished with an 1-14 overall record and miss the SWAC post season tournament for the first time since entering the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
