A&M Baseball to host Mississippi Valley in SWAC action

NORMAL – The Alabama A&M baseball team will look to return to the win column when they host the Delta Devils of Mississippi Valley State University on Saturday and Sunday, March 17-18 in their first home conference three-game series.

The Bulldogs (5-14, 0-3 SWAC) are currently on a nine game losing streak after dropping their last two games to Texas Tech University.

Deon Hall currently leads at the plate for the Maroon & White hitting .318 in 11 games collecting seven hits, four runs, a double and a RBI in 22 at bats.

Josh Freeman holds the lowest ERA among all Bulldog pitchers with a 2.79 earned run average and a 2-2 record in his first collegiate season.

Valley brings in a 2-15 overall record and a 2-4 league mark. They are led by Joseph Germaine who is hitting .328 in 64 at bats while Cody Parker leads the team with 15 appearances on the mound and 25 strikeouts for MVSU.

Saturday’s doubleheader has a 12:00 p.m. first pitch while Sunday’s single contest is set to begin at noon.

All games will be played at the Bulldogs baseball field while admission will be free.
