Box Score Normal – Senior All-American Candidate Whiquitta Tobar scored 25 points to lead Alabama A&M over Jackson State 65-43 on Thursday night.
Tobar finished 9 of 16 from the field, including 3 of 6 from three point range.

"We wish we would've played better in the first half," the senior guard said. "But I think we had a strong second half. Overall I think we improved on some things we needed to improve on."

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 17-10 overall and 12-5 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, holding on to a second place seed after a Southern University loss early tonight.

The Lady Bulldogs shot a blistering 48.3 percent in the second half and 39.9 percent overall from the field.

Jasmine Sanders added 14 points and nine rebounds for A&M, while teammate Clairissa Moore totaled a season high 10 rebounds. The Bulldogs out-rebounded Jackson State 49-36.

The win gave head Coach Altherias Warmley her 100th career SWAC win. “It’s a win I really enjoy coaching in the SWAC. It’s always fun every night in the SWAC. You are going to get a great game, with great teams and great coaches,” states Warmley.
