Bulldogs fall to Austin Peay 7-1 in Mid-Week contest

Box Score NORMAL – The Alabama A&M baseball team fell 7-1 to the Govs of Austin Peay University on Wednesday afternoon.

A&M (5-9) managed only three it’s during the nine inning affair.  They were chances to cut into the lead but the Bulldogs weren’t able to hit any of the six pitchers the Govs threw.  The Maroon and white only saw five batters once during the contest averaging 3.5 per inning.

Deon Hall led the Bulldogs at the plate with two hits in his two at bats.  Champs Adams, who started only his second game, earned his first loss of the year going six innings giving up seven hits and six earned runs.

Alabama A&M will hit the road for the next six games during the University’s spring break. A trip Oklahoma State on March 9th – 11th then Texas Tech University March 13th – 14th

A&M will return to “The Hill” on Saturday, March 17th and 18th when they host Mississippi Valley State University to a three-game SWAC series.
