Baseball travels to Mississippi Valley

NORMAL – The Bulldog baseball team heads to Itta Bena, Mississippi for a pivotal three-game series with the Devils. 

A double header is set for Saturday, April 21 at 1 p.m. and a nine inning contest at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22.

The Devils swept the Bulldogs in their first meeting this season 7-1, 8-6 and 7-6.
Josh Freeman will get the first game started for A&M. 

The freshman leads a pitching rotation with a 5.02 ERA.  Freeman is 2-6 on the year in nine appearances on the mound and 18 strikeouts.

Juniors Deon Hall and Norbert Riggins look to lead the Bulldog offense with Hall hitting .333 in 20 games.  He is the first Alabama A&M player to hit a homerun over the new Maroon wall. 

Riggins is the most consistent batter for A&M posting a .280 BA in all 39 games played.
The Maroon & White will need to win two games in order to stay in contention for post season play.     


All games will be played at Magnolia Field on the campus of MVSU.
