A&M takes a break from SWAC play

NORMAL - The Alabama A&M baseball team travels to Troy University for a nonconference showdown, at Riddle-Pace Field at 6 p.m.

The Maroon & White (8-35) are currently in fifth place of the eastern division league standings in the SWAC.

Deon Hall is leading the team with a .300 batting average with a double, a homerun and five runs batted in. Norbert Riggins is second on the team batting .275 at the plate with 17 runs, 33 hits and seventeen RBI’s.

Right handed pitcher Josh Freeman leads the team with a 4.68 earned run average after 10 appearances. The sophomore is 2-4 on the year with 23 strikeouts.
