NORMAL -- The Bulldogs baseball team was held to just one hit and struck out three times in their 36^th loss of the year.

The Trojans jumped on Bulldog starter Sanchez Tucker early for three runs in the first and four in the third.

Walton Ashwander drew a one-out walk in the top of the ninth and came around to score the only run of the game for A&M on a single back up the middle by James Brown. Brown led Alabama A&M with a pair of hits and two walks.

Tucker (0-5) went the distance for the maroon & White; he struck out two, walked three, surrendered 12 hits and nine runs.

The Bulldogs return to conference action this weekend when Alcorn State visits Bulldog Field. First pitch is set for the doubleheader at 12 p.m. on Saturday and the series will conclude at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
