NORMAL – Neither team was able to find a consistent shooting rythum in the first half but the Lady Tigers of TSU found theirs in the second as they shot 44 percent to claim a 54-50 win over Alabama A&M.

Head coach Altherias Warmley 11th year squad held the lead all but twice in the first half but exchanged it with TSU on nine different occasions in the second.

After the last media timeout at the 3:36 mark, Sanders hit a jumper to tie the score at 47.  She then hit a free-throw to give them a one point lead.  Sidney then came back for TSU and put them up by one with a jumper of her own.  That gave the Lady Tigers their last lead of the contest.  A&M was out-scored 7-3 in the last minutes of the game to fall in their second straight contest.

The Maroon & White outscored TSU 10-7 in points off turnovers, 28-22 in points in the paint, 23-5 in bench points.  One thing that really stood out on the stat sheet was the fouls as AAMU was hit with 27 while Texas Southern was hit with 11.
