Baseball to host Samford Bulldogs

Normal-The Alabama A&M baseball team will host the Bulldogs of Samford University this Wednesday, March 6th at Bulldog Field.
 
The Maroon & White currently 2-11 will play the Bulldogs of Samford for the second time this season.  Samford and A&M met earlier this year, with Samford winning, 12-1, on Feb. 19, at Joe Lee Griffin Field. SU is currently 8-5 and coming off a 13-6 victory over Purdue University.
 
For the season, Samford is led at the plate by Tommy Corbin, batting .435 with three doubles and nine RBI’s. C.K. Irby is the team leader in runs batted in with 15; while Phillip Ervin has a team high six home runs to go along with his 12 RBI’s.
 
Patrick Dodson leads the Alabama A&M offense, batting .380 with four doubles and seven RBI’s. Bradley Black leads in home runs with two, and he is tied with Dodson for the team lead in RBI’s with seven.
 
Samford under current head coach Casey Dunn holds the series advantage at 7-0 versus the Bulldogs. First pitch Wednesday is set for 2:00 p.m. The contest can be followed via live stats.
