Baseball travels to Murray State for three game weekend

NORMAL – Head Coach Michael Tompkins will bring the Bulldog baseball team north this weekend for a three game non-conference series with the Racers of Murray State.

A&M (3-33, 1-14 SWAC) continues to lean on Austin Hulsey who has a .341 batting average in 35 contests.  The Russellville, Alabama native has collected 14 multiple hit games, eight multiple run batted in contests and secured a hitting streak of nine games. 

Patrick Dodson, who is second on the team with a .316 batting average, is currently riding a 22 game reached base streak.

As a team the Bulldogs will look to break an eight game losing streak over the weekend.

Murray State looks vulnerable as they bring in a 14-23 overall record.  Ty Stetson leads the Racers with a .344 average while Cameron Finch holds a 3-2 record in nine appearances.

Game one will be played on Friday, April 19th at 3 p.m.  Game two will see a first pitch at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th while the final contest will happen on Sunday, April 21st beginning at 1 p.m.
