Diamond Dogs head to Nashville

NORMAL – Fresh off their best showing against Auburn University the Alabama A&M Baseball team will head to Nashville, Tennessee for a date with Liscomb University.

The Maroon & White are currently 3-8 overall but has showed improvement all around the field. Currently six players hold a .300 or better batting average with preseason All-SWAC designated hitter Austin Hulsey leading the team with a .367 average.

Three different pitchers have achieved a win but Taylor Knight leads the way with a 1.29 earned run average. Joshua Freeman is tops among all pitchers with 12 strikeouts.

Liscomb is led at the plate by Austin Sistrunk who is batting .367 with 11 hits, and six RBI's. Will Blalock is the only Bison with a win on their staff. Blalock leads the team with 12 strikeouts in 9.2 innings pitched.

The Bisons welcome the Maroon & White Thursday, February 27, at 2:30 p.m. The game was originally slated for a 4 p.m. contest on Wednesday but was postponed due to frigid forecast conditions.
