Baseball Battles Abilene Christian in Non-Conference Weekend

NORMAL - The Alabama A&M baseball team will welcome Abilene Christian University on Saturday and Sunday, March 22-23 in a three-game non-conference series at Bulldog Field.

The teams will play at 11 a.m. & 3 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m., on Sunday.

A&M is batting .281 as a team, and is led by Andrew Utterback (.408) and Julio Welch's (.350). The Bulldog pitching staff has recorded 136 strikeouts in the 23 games played this season.

ACU comes into this weekend's contest falling to East Central 9-5 Sunday at Crutcher Scott Field.

The slumping Wildcats, has collected a 7-10 record on the year. ACU has lost eight of its last nine games, all in the last 12 days.
