Bulldogs Travel to the Peach State for a pair of midweek contests

NORMAL – The Alabama A&M baseball team will travel to Atlanta, Georgia, to face the Panthers of Georgia State University on Tuesday, March 25 and Wednesday, March 26 in a pair of midweek contests.
 
Both games are scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m. CST at the Panthers Baseball Complex.
 
The Bulldogs, fresh off an exciting series victory over Abilene Christian, will be looking for a series sweep versus the Panthers this week. Georgia State has won all three meetings with Alabama A&M.
 
The Bulldogs are 10-16 overall and 4-5 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, while Georgia State is 10-14, 1-5 in the Sun Belt.

A&M's Andrew Utterback, the junior from Sigourney, Iowa is off to a remarkable start for the Bulldogs, hitting .402 with three homers and 27 runs batted in. Julio Nunez is batting .370 and leads the team in homeruns with five. Nunez has 25 RBI's and nine stolen bases.

As a team, A&M is second in the conference with a .293 average. The Maroon & White lineup also features .300 hitters in infielders Austin Hulsey (.352) and Cornelius Woods (.310) and outfielders Brandyn Crutcher (.349), and Keyonta Welch (.300-3-14).
 
Georgia State looks to snap a six-game losing streak, including three games at the nation's new No. 1-ranked team, UL Lafayette, over the weekend.
