Bulldog set for meeting with the Lions

NORMAL – Fresh off a conference series with Alabama State the Maroon & White baseball team will travel to Florence, Alabama for a nine-inning midweek meeting with the Lions of the University of North Alabama.

A&M is currently second in the Eastern Division of the Southwestern Athletic Conference holding a 9-8 conference mark and a 17-24 overall record.

Andrew Utterback leads the team with a .389 average with 51 hits, 33 runs batted in and five homeruns. Brandyn Crutcher is second on the team with a .387 average, 37 hits, and 17 RBI's. Austin Hulsey is batting .345 in 38 games with 51 hits, a team leading 11 doubles, and four homeruns.

The Bulldogs defeated UNA in their first meeting of the year 9-7. Crutcher went 3 for 4 from the plate with two RBI's and a run.

The Lions are on a four game losing streak and will look to stop the bleeding at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22.
