Alabama A&M Hosts the University of North Alabama in Midweek Clash

NORMAL – Bulldog baseball will welcome the University of North Alabama to "The Hill" for a 1:00 p.m. midweek contest on Tuesday, April 8, at Bulldog field.

Alabama A&M and North Alabama will meet on the diamond for the 12^th time on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions own an 11-0 advantage over the Bulldogs in the all-time series.

The Bulldogs went 2-0 on the weekend against the Braves of Alcorn State. Led by Austin Hulsey, by going 4 for 5 and with three RBI's, Alabama A&M captured two of three games at Alcorn State on Saturday. AAMU earned a pair of hard-fought wins, 18-14 and 9-2 to sweep the Braves on the year.

A&M will be led by Andrew Utterback who is leading the team in batting with 40 hits and 17 runs for a .400 batting average.

The Lions arrive in Normal with a 20-19 record. UNA's most recent victory came on Sunday in a double-header sweep of West Georgia, 6-2 and 2-1 at Mike Lane Field. The Lions are led by Kyle Conkle who is hitting .338 in 39 games played.
