In the Last Game
The Alabama A&M women's basketball team lost a 61-57 hard fought battle to University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Monday, Jan. 9, despite its second half surge. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Jameica Cobb who scored 21-points which included 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 2-11 on the season while the Lady Lions improved to 4-10. Besides Cobb, Alabama A&M had two other players reach double figures – senior Ebony Johnson (12) and freshman Lauren McKee (10). Johnson also led the Lady Bulldogs defensively with eight rebounds.

Against the Opponent
Last season, Alabama State swept both games between the two teams, winning 86-50 at Montgomery and 77-63 in T.M. Elmore Gym. The Lady Bulldogs fell to the Lady Hornets in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Semi-Finals 72-88 in Houston, Texas.

Stepping Up
