NASHVILLE -- The Bulldogs baseball team closes out the 2017 regular season Wednesday with a road game in Nashville.

They will take on Belmont of the Ohio Valley Conference with first pitch slated for 5 p.m.

This is the Bulldogs' second trip in as many days to the Music City. On Tuesday, they dropped a 9-4 decision to Lipscomb.

Wednesday's game is a makeup of the April 5 game that was cancelled because of severe weather.

Bulldog Bites
Dalton Mitchell's double at Lipscomb extended his on-base streak to nine straight games.

Wilanier Betancourt's two-hit game at Lipscomb was his second multi-hit game in his last three games.

Carlton Peppers' home run at Lipscomb was his second this season and he leads the Bulldogs with 28 runs scored.

Brandon Marsonek struck out four Lipscomb batters to run his NCAA-leading strikeout total to 127. He also leads the nation with 37 pitching appearances and 104.1 innings pitched.

Cornelious Woods leads the Bulldogs in hitting with a .304 average and a .447 slugging percentage.

Carson McGregory has 57 hits, 73 total bases and 23 runs batted in to lead A&M.
