Baseball Celebrates Senior Day this weekend in Series against MVSU

HUNTSVILLE -- The Alabama A&M baseball team will host Mississippi Valley State in their final Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) home series beginning Friday afternoon.

The series begins at 3 pm Friday, with Senior Weekend activities scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 2:40 p.m. before the 3 p.m. pitch. The series will conclude on Sunday at 1 pm.

The seniors that will be honored include:
Carlton Peppers
JT O'Reel
Blaine Milam
Carson McGregory

McGregory leads Alabama A&M (7-35, 4-14 SWAC) in the offensive category, hitting .345 with 44 hits and three home runs. He also has 22 runs batted in and is slugging .500. O'Reel is second on the team in hitting at .314, while also registering a slugging percentage of .421. Dalton Mitchell is hitting .306 in 149 official at-bats with eight doubles and 15 runs batted in.

In the circle, Jaret Britt (2-7) has a 5.11 ERA across 61.2 innings pitched. He has scattered 83 hits, 46 runs (35 earned), 20 walks and 24 strikeouts.

Mississippi Valley State (11-25, 9-9 SWAC) is led by A Barkley, who has compiled 35 hits on the season. He is batting .292 with a .375 slugging percentage.

Barkley also leads the Delta Devils on the mound with a 1-1 record and a 1.69 ERA in 13 appearances on the season.

He has pitched 16.0 innings, scattering 10 hits, three runs (three earned), two walks and 17 strikeouts.

After their homestand against the Devil, the Bulldogs will travel to Murray, KY on May 1^st to face Murray State before traveling to Lorman, MS for a three-game series against Alcorn State starting May 4^th to close out the regular season.
