MONTGOMERY, Ala. ^__ A four win showing during baker match play during the ISTAP Hornet Classic gave the Lady Bulldog bowling team a sixth-place finish at the eight team event.

Alabama A&M defeated Kentucky Wesleyan and Grambling before falling to Southern to finish off the classic on Sunday. The Lady Bulldogs finished with a total pin count of 10,822, led by Brittney Edwards, who finished with 664 total pins down for a 166 average score and Daphne Price, who totaled 829 pins in five games for an average of 165.8 pins per game.

Nariya Jackson (823 total, 164.6 average) and Montaya Walton (811 total, 162.2 average) also finished in the top 30 rankings for individual bowlers in the classic.

The Jackson State Tigers left Montgomery as the Hornet Classic champions by going 12-1 over the course of the two day event. The Lady Tigers amassed a pinfall total of 12,055 while runner-up Florida A&M went 11-2 and totaled 11,864 pins through the weekend.
