Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ITTA BENA, MS ^__ Alabama A&M softball team fall victim to a series sweep concluded by a doubleheader on Saturday against conference foe Mississippi Valley State. The Lady Bulldogs fell 1-0 in eight innings before losing 8-5 in game two.
 
The first game of the day was a pitching duel, as Alejandra Salazar (2-7) picked up the win for the Delta Devils, pitching a complete game and only giving up two hits.
 
Tamia Lee-Barbadillo and Alyssa Lopez were the lone Bulldogs to get hits offensively. Lauren Hayden (7-8) picked up the loss, while only surrendering five hits in over seven innings. 
 
Game two brought along more offensive output for both teams, as Alabama A&M struck first scoring twice in the first inning. The Bulldogs also scored again in the third to put the score at 3-0, however could not hold on as the Delta Devils scored eight runs in the last three innings.
 
A host of Lady Bulldogs had multiple hits including Lisabelle Hansell (2-4, run scored), Tamia Lee-Barbadillo (2-4, run scored), Shelby Scrivnor (2-3, run scored) and Madison Pozzi (2-4).
 
Alyssa Lopez (1-1) picked up the loss on the mound for Alabama A&M, while Daisy Page (1-6) picked up the win for Mississippi Valley State. 
 
The Lady Bulldogs will be back at home this weekend for the final series of the regular season with games starting on Friday April 26, at 3 p.m.
