Alabama A&M Bowling Mid Winter Invitational Recap

HUNTSVILLE __ The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Jonesboro Arkansas on last week to play some of the top teams in the country at the Mid-Winter invitational hosted by #4 Ranked Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Going in, the Bulldogs were coming off of a successful weekend at the SWAC regionals clinching a spot at the Championships in March.

The team won four matches during the weekend, with a huge win over the fourth ranked team in the country and host team Arkansas State University. The Lady Bulldogs squeaked out a one pin victory over the Red Wolves 867-866. The team also played closely with three other nationally ranked teams in ninth ranked Youngstown State, 18th ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater and 22nd ranked UAB, ending matches within 40 pins of each opponent.

Freshman Kimberly Mann had high game of 203, which was tied with Nariya Jackson for the highest average with 180.20 per game. The Lady Bulldogs finally topped the 900 pin count in three out of the five traditional games, topping out at 938 for the first time since 2015!

Up next for the team is The TNBA Invitational tournament in Atlanta Mar 6-8th. Followed by the SWAC Championship in Dallas, March 16-18th, where the team will play for a chance at the NCAA finals in April.
