HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Three Alabama A&M athletics programs have been honored as NCAA Public Recognition Award recipients for the 2018-19 academic year.

The Alabama A&M men and women's tennis teams, along with the women's bowling team, were recognized by the NCAA for posting Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores in the top 10 percent of all teams in their respective sports. APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I teams nationally.

The AAMU men and women's tennis teams, and the women's bowling team, all posted perfect APR scores of 1,000.

APR scores for teams in the top 10 percent ranged from 987 to 1,000.
