HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – After having been denied their rivalry matchup on January 16 due to COVID-19 protocols, Alabama A&M (7-2, 5-1 SWAC) women's basketball travels to Alabama State (9-1, 9-1 SWAC) in a meeting of two of the best teams in the league on Saturday, February 13. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. in Montgomery, Alabama.
Dating prior to their three week layoff last month, the Bulldogs have won five straight, including decisions over
Texas Southern (73-50 on Feb. 1), Mississippi Valley State (81-43 on Feb. 6) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (76-69 on Feb. 8). The Hornets, meanwhile, also ride a five game winning streak with their only loss being a narrow 60-56 final to Southern on January 25. Most recently they took down MVSU 75-55 on February 8.
