HAMMOND, La. – With just six competitors, Alabama A&M men's outdoor track & field made an impact with six Top-10 finishes at the Strawberry Relays on Sunday, April 11.
Senior
Tyrese McPhatter (Columbus, Ga.) led the way with two of those performances, placing 6-of-19 in the 100-meters with a time of 10.79 and was 10-of-27 in the 200-meters (21.74). He was joined by senior
Donald Weakley (Nashville, Tenn.) with an eighth place finish in the 100-meters as he posted a time of 10.99.
The field side of things would deliver the other three Top-10 outings as junior
Demetrius Hurry II was 6-of-13 in the hammer (40.48m) and 9-of-15 in the shot put (13.13m). Senior
Christian Bryant (Newbern, Ala.) rounded things out with a seventh place finish in the hammer, hitting a distance of 38.29-meters.
Alabama A&M is back in action next Saturday, April 17 as they travel to Columbia, South Carolina for the USC Open.
