ATLANTA, Ga. | Laila Gaynor earned third in the 400m and was a part of the 4x400m relay team that finished fourth as the Alabama A&M University men's and women's track & field teams completed the final day of the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday at the George C. Griffin Track & Field Facility.

Gaynor posted a time of 53.31 to take third in the 400m, with Kennesaw State's Emma Sullivan narrowly winning the event in 53.17. Gaynor's day wasn't complete as she participated in the 4x400m relay with teammates
Brianna Samuels,
Shelby Sanders and
Sanyae Gibson as they finished fourth, posting a time of 3:42.06.

Sanders also competed in the 400m hurdles, logging a time of 1:00.70 to take eighth, while Samuels ran in the 800m, recording a time of 2:11.57, to claim 12
th. Â

In the women's discus,
Leah Brown placed ninth, with a toss of 44.61m., while
Akira Coleman was 11
th in the triple jump at 11.76m.

The men's 4x100m relay team of
Joe Quez Keith,
Sherman Lattimore,
Jahson Gordon and
Justin Walker just missed the Top 10, finishing 11
th in 41.38. Keith also recorded a time of 21.01 in the 200m to claim sixth.

Alabama A&M had two men's teams competing in the final event – the 4x400m. The team of Gordon, Lattimore, Keith and
Xavier Turner were sixth in 3:13.22, while the team of
Corey Harris,
Andre Mitchell,
Eric Brannon and
Kayden Washington placed 10
th, with a time of 3:19.76.
