KNOXVILLE, Tenn. |Â Laila Gaynor and
Brianna Samuels finished third in their respective events as the Alabama A&M University track & field teams completed the final day of the Tennessee Invitational on Saturday at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium.

Gaynor logged a time of 53.99 to finish third in the 400m as Kentucky went 1-2 in the event. A'Laji Bradley won the event in 51.92, while teammate JahQueen McClellan finished second in 53.61.

Samuels posted a season-best time of 2:11.47 to claim the third spot in the 800m as Zenade October, of Middle Tennessee State, won the event at 2:08.65 and Lipscomb's Linda Perez took second at 2:10.84.

In the men's long jump,
Justin Walker recorded a personal-best mark and a new school reocrd of 7.60m to take second as Cade Gray, of Tennessee, won the event at 7.82m. Cameron Andrew finished third at 7.42m. In addition,
Olivier Jean recorded a seventh-place finish at 7.30m. Walker was the previous record holder at 7.53m, which was set in 2024.

The men's 4x100m of
Joe Quez Keith,
Sherman Lattimore,
Cameron Wallace and
Justin Walker finished seventh, logging a personal-best time of 40.93.

Alabama A&M returns to action next Friday and Saturday (April 17-18) at the Georgia Tech Invitational at the George C. Griffin Track & Field Facility.Â
