NEWNAN, Ga. – In their first action since the spring, Alabama A&M men's golf closed out the National Black College Hall of Fame Classic on Saturday, September 25, finishing with rounds of 327-307-634 to finish ninth.
Freshman
BK Kim (Winter Garden, Fla.) shot seven strokes better than his first collegiate round, posting two-day marks of 79-72-151 to tie for 16-of-50 while fellow freshman
Felipe Gomez (Bogota, Columbia) tied for 20
th. Over the 36 holes the latter shot a 75-77-152.
Tennessee State moved up from a tie for fourth to win the tournament with a score of 592 and was followed by Alabama State (594), Florida A&M (595), North Carolina A&T (598) and North Carolina Central.
The Bulldogs will return to action from October 18-19 when they travel to nearby Florence, Alabama for the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational. That tournament will be hosted by North Alabama and be played at Turtle Point Country Club.
