HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M (4-10, 2-2 SWAC) women's basketball returns to action as they renew their rivalry with a trip to Alabama State (4-9, 3-1 SWAC) on Saturday, January 15. Game time is set for 2 p.m. in Montgomery, Alabama.
A&M enters the game following a 79-52 defeat at the hands of league-leading Jackson State on Monday, January 10 while ASU dominated Alcorn State 74-39 that same day.
In
37 all-time meetings since 2001-02, which is when available records date back to, the Hornets hold a 24-13 advantage. Alabama State won nine of the first 10 from January 12, 2002 through February 11, 2006. More recently the Bulldogs won three in a row from February 16, 2019 through February 15, 2020 before ASU notched a 77-63 decision in Montgomery on February 13, 2021.
