Alabama A&M Women's Basketball Set To Host Arkansas-Pine Bluff To Cap Two-Game Homestand

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M (9-13, 7-5 SWAC) women's basketball looks to improve their position in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) standings and look to stave off Arkansas-Pine Bluff (10-12, 6-6 SWAC) in a meeting at Elmore Gymnasium on Monday, February 14. Game time is set for 5 p.m.

A&M enters the game following a 53-47 victory over Mississippi Valley State (2/12) last time out while the Golden Lions have lost two straight. The latter dropped a 69-55 decision vs. league-leading Jackson State (2/7) before falling 90-81 at Alabama State (2/12).

The Bulldogs hold a 24-9 advantage in the all-time series based upon available records dating back to a narrow 58-56 victory on January 8, 2007 in Pine Bluff. That would be the first of four straight meetings that A&M would claim, a stretch matched only by eight consecutive wins from February 6, 2010 through January 11, 2014. In those 33 meetings the Golden Lions have only ever won two in a row and come in having lost the last seven dating to January 14, 2019.

Fans will be able to follow all of the action with live stats and live video as well as view the digital game program. Additionally, full postgame coverage of all the action will be available on www.AAMUSports.com, the official online home of Alabama A&M Athletics, following the final horn.
