HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M Athletics recognized the career-long accomplishments of 34 current or former student-athletes on Thursday, May 5 in advance of them being presented with their degrees on Friday, May 6.
This year's graduates represent 13 of the Bulldogs' 16 sports, headlined by football (7), baseball (4) and women's soccer (4). It also includes men's tennis (3), women's tennis (3), men's basketball (2), women's basketball (2), men's golf (2), softball (2), men's track & field (2), women's volleyball (2) and bowling (1).

Jayla Thrash anchored women's soccer's contingent and
Rodrigo Arana Rios,
Natiphat Mulada and
Austin Smith represented men's tennis. For women's tennis it was
Jasmine Boyd,
Anita Bozhko and
Ximena Duarte Ramirez with
Myles Parker and
Brandon Powell from men's basketball and
Dariauna Lewis and
Lazurea Saunders from women's basketball.
Jason Johnson and
Conner McMillan represented men's golf as
Alyssa Lopez and
Rachael McKinney did for softball.
Taese Davenport (Bowling),
Demetrius Hurry II (Men's Track & Field) and
Maci Battle (Women's Volleyball) rounded out the honorees.
Each individual was celebrated the night before graduation as the Department and Director of Athletics
Bryan Hicks presented them with their graduation stoles, medallions and a frame for their degree during an evening at Elmore Gymnasium.
Alabama A&M University, located in Huntsville, Alabama, currently offers 16 sports as well as cheerleading and is a member of NCAA Division I. The Bulldogs have more than 340 student-athletes competing for championships at the national, regional and conference level with each program being members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
