PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas. Senior Shanique Masters (St. Catherine, Jamaica) and junior Aneisha Ingram (Frankfield, Jamaica) led Alabama A&M women's track & field on Day 2 of the 2022 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Championships. The pair finished within the top eighth athletes in the field to qualify for the 800-meter finals scheduled for 11.50 a.m. on Saturday, May 7.

Masters finished 4-of-20 in the two lap event, stopping the clock at 2:14.97, Ingram was eighth with a time of 2:16.91. Freshmen De'Ajene Johnson (Detroit, Mich.)  placed 11-of-20 finishing in a time of 2:20.92 in the same event.

Sophomore Brian Cox (Miami, Fla.) was 10-of-24 in the shot put with a distance of 11.86m while graduate Jairyn Russell finished 13-of-24 in the 100-meter with a time of 12.16.

The Bulldogs will return to action tomorrow morning Saturday, May 7, for the final day of the SWAC Championships. Fans can follow all the action with live results as well as live video.
