Box Score FORT COLLINS, Colo. | The Alabama A&M University women's basketball team struggled offensively, shooting 30 percent from the floor, as the Bulldogs fell to Colorado State, 83-39, on Thursday night at Moby Arena.
Colorado State (2-0) controlled the game, as the Rams shot 50 percent (28-of-55) from the field and 51 percent from the perimeter (14-of-27).
Darian Burgin paced the Bulldogs (0-2) with eight points, going 4-of-11 from the floor, with four rebounds and two assists. Amiah Simmons registered six points and four rebounds.
Mckenna Hofschild led Colorado State with a game-high 26 points, on 9-of-13 shooting, with six assists and two rebounds. Hannah Ronsiek added nine points, three boards and one assist, while Cali Clark pulled down a game-high eight rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Colorado State started the game by jumping out to a 15-2 lead in the first six minutes of play.
The Rams finished the opening period with a 23-10 advantage as the Bulldogs were held to 4-of-15 shooting (26.7 percent).
In the second period, Alabama A&M suffered a cold-shooting spell, going more than four minutes without a bucket, and saw the drought end on a floater from Burgin.
Colorado State, which drained eight 3-pointers, was in cruise control in the first half, taking a 43-20 advantage into the break.
The Rams extended its lead in the third period, 68-22, and Alabama A&M could not overcome the huge deficit.
