LORMAN, Miss. __ The Alabama A&M baseball program will open their 2023 season with a three-game road series against Alcorn State beginning on today and concluding on Sunday afternoon. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 6 p.m. at McGowan Stadium.

Head coach
Elliott Jones starts his third year at the helm of the Bulldog program that is coming off a 14-35 mark in 2022, including 10-20 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) last season. A&M brings back 18 players to the 2023 roster, along with 20 newcomers for the start of the year.

Alcorn State is coming off a tough year in 2022, finishing just 2-39 overall and 2-28 in SWAC play. The Braves return multiple key players from last year's team, but look to improve under second year coach Reggie Williams with 28 new faces in 2023.
