HUNTSVILLE, Ala. __ Prince Borde, current Antigua Women's National Team Head Coach and former Jacksonville University assistant has been named the next head coach of the Alabama A&M soccer program, Director of Athletics Dr. Paul A. Bryant announced on Wednesday afternoon.
"I am elated to bring this championship level Coach to the Hill to lead our program, Bryant said. "His knowledge and expertise will enhance the playing experience of our young women on our way to creating and maintaining a championship culture."
Borde has made numerous stops along his professional career, coming to Huntsville after a year as an assistant coach at Jacksonville University, helping the Dolphins to their first winning season and conference tournament berth since 2017, along with being named the head coach of the Antigua Women's National Team in 2022. He also held head coaching spots at Brewton-Parker College (2018-22), Trinity Baptist (2015-18), and Louisiana College (2011-15).
A veteran at rebuilding programs, Borde also led Antigua to their first World Cup qualifying win, while improving his program at Brewton-Parker from no wins to 32 wins in his four-year span, including a pair of conference semifinal appearances and producing eight national team players for their respective countries.
While at Trinity Baptist, he helped start the women's soccer program and was eventually ranked the No. 1 team in the country in his tenure. Prior to his stop with the Eagles, Borde spent four years at Louisiana College where he also rebuilt a struggling program, taking a team from no wins the season before to the most wins in the conference by his departure, along with being named the ASC Coach of the Year once.
"I would like to thank Dr. Bryant for this amazing opportunity, Borde explained. "These are very exciting times to be a Bulldog. I am humbled and thrilled to lead this group of young women and build on the incredible potential of this program. Alabama A&M has a rich history and tradition and I look forward to pouring into my players and being a part of the community."
Borde earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Palm Beach Atlantic in 2006, while receiving his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan in 2014.
