OXFORD, Miss. __Â Alabama A&M track and field finished competition at the Ole Miss Classic on Saturday at the Ole Miss Track & Field Complex with both 4x400 teams taking home first place.

On the men's side, the group of
Keyshawn Johnson,
Talil Atkins,
Kody Pugh, and
Shawn Guerrier took the first-place finish with a time of 3:13.48, slightly ahead of Cincinnati and Mississippi College.

The Bulldogs had three top 10 finishers in the 400-meter event, as Atkins took third at 47.76, followed by Pugh (48.95s) and Johnson (48.96s) finished fourth and fifth respectively.
In the 4x400 on the women's side,
Olivia Andrews,
Laila Gaynor,
Victoya Smith, and
Ajanae Cressey finished first at 3:47.99, just ahead of Cincinnati and Belmont.
Kendyl Hawkins,
Aneisha Ingram,
Shakiera Woods, and
De'Ajene Johnson finished fourth at 4:00.69.

Smith also performed well in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.93 seconds, good for fourth place. Meanwhile,
Ta'Nya Burnett took home a sixth-place finish in the triple jump, followed by Ingram finishing eighth in the 1500.

The Bulldogs return to competition next weekend, as they travel to Bowling Green to participate in the WKU Hilltopper Relays inside the Charles M. Ruter Track and Field Complex.
