HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama A&M Baseball will return to play for the first time in a week on Friday, as the Bulldogs host Southwestern Athletic Conference rival Florida A&M for three games over the weekend at the Bulldog Baseball Field.
Â
The series will begin on Friday, followed by a 12 p.m. start for game two and a 1 p.m. start for the finale on Sunday afternoon.
Â
A&M (11-16, 2-8 SWAC) will aim to return to the win column after falling in their last appearance, a home matchup against Bethune-Cookman last Thursday, in a series that could not be completed due to weather and field conditions.
Â
The Bulldogs and Rattlers will meet in a series for the second time this season, as Florida A&M routed Alabama A&M in all three games held in the Moore-Kittles Field in Tallahassee. FAMU has also taken nine of the last ten total meetings in the series history.
Â
Meanwhile, Florida A&M (15-17, 9-3 SWAC) is a game behind first place in the SWAC East Division, just one game behind Bethune-Cookman in the loss column. The Rattlers are third in both batting and pitching ranks in league play, and scored double-digit runs in all three meetings between the programs in Tallahassee.
